Lexycology

Lexycology is the part of linguistics which studies word.This may include their nature and function as symbols,their meaning,the relationship of their meaning to epistemology in general,and the rules of their composition from smaller elements.Lexycology also involves relations betweern words,which may involve semantics.An allied science to lexycology is lexycography,which also studies words.but primarily in relation with dictionaries it is concerned with the inclution from that perspective with the whole lexicon.

The branch of linguistics thst studies the lexical component of language

a.Philology-the humanistic study of language and liretature.

b.Onomatics-the branch of lexycology that studies the forms and origins of proper names.

c.Toponomy-the branch of lexycology that studies the place names of a region or a language.

   Antara leksikologi dengan leksikograpi tidak bisa di pisahkan karena sama-sama menghasilkan sebuah produk kamus yang baik,mudah,dan benar yang dimanfaatkan oleh para pengguna bahasa.

Example and observation:

Lexycology deals not only with simple words in all their aspects but also with complex and compound words,the meaningful units of language.since these units must be analysed in respect of both their form .
